Hi all

It's Friday today and weekend has started😍 Hooray 🎉🎉🎉
I started work this week,on Monday and I did the full week . After almost 3 months of been away, I was happy to be back.
I was tired at times but I took everything slowly. So happy now , I have 2 full days to rest and be back on Monday.

My life is getting back to normal and I am so happy. God is good and has never fail to show me His mercies.

Blessed wkn to all of you.

Woke up today feeling my normal self. I went for a long way and was so happy to meet friends I had not seen for quite a while. I feel so blessed to be alive 🙏 and each day I thank God so much.

10 weeks after surgery now and I am preparing myself to go back to work next week.I am positive and Jesus will see me thru.

It has not been a smooth journey but I have made it.

Still have some mild chest and upper back pain but can manage without pain killers.

Rose Madura Recovery has many ups and downs. Try to think positively how your heart surgery has more than likely prolonged your life. I had a very hard recovery And was re-hopitalized four times and spent 24 total days in the hospital over a 3 month period so my recovery was extra long. But I kept hanging on and did my best to stay positive for the sake of my husband. Hang in there. It will get better. ❤️‍🩹

There are definitely days I feel discouraged too. It IS day to day on how well I feel. I am trying to focus on my weekly progress now.
We are in this together ❤️. Use your pain meds if you need them. I have had to start taking some again recently, Tylenol and Advil alternating. The pain and sleeplessness can really wear you down, so I'm feeling better on them, for now.

Today after 8 weeks of the surgery, I felt ready for the first time to go in town, to browse a bit round the shop and see new things.

So I took my usual bus to town and for about 1 hour just went walking and browsing in the shop.

Got my daughter a beautiful carpet for her room then when I got a bit tired,I took the bus home.

But was so happy for its a little victory for me and signs ,I am coming back in the land of normal again🤣 . Thank you Lord🙏 Tomorrow will be better.

Hopefully, it will blend into the rest of life's noises for you soon and you are able to enjoy that little click as you go about your day.

For some, it takes effort and positive attitude, sometimes even cognitive bihevioral therapy which can be very helpful. Stay optimistic, we are here for the support! Take care.

Ann T My surgery was in March of 2021. I have the On-X mechanical valve. I also constantly hear the clicking. It has definitely been a life change and something to get used to. It is easier to ignore and even forget about at some times more than others. It does seem to get easier to live with as time goes on. I am glad I found this site and know that others know what I mean when I talk about it.

Its 8 weeks since I had my mitral valve replacement, everything is new to me.I am trying to adjust to my life and at the same time recovering. I feel sad sometimes but I do pray a lot and God will get me thru this. I love in Seychelles,a place where they do not do heart surgery and I had to go to India for the surgery. My surgeon in India and his team was a good one and the best but the only thing is they are faraway now and I have to cope alone now with my cardiologist whom I see once every 3 months. Now I am happy to be in this group and thank you so much for accepting me .
I will upload my photo and story later .

I am still getting used to the ticking.
