I haven't posted anything in a while. Monday I was 9 weeks post AVR. For the past couple days I have been experiencing pain under my left rib cage and breast area. It hurts all the time but worse when I breath deep. Does anyone know if this is something... Read more.

Check wth your cardiologist when in doubt. Best for peace of mind!

Do you have a cough or shortness of breath after you inhale?

Could be a plural effusion (fluid around lung). That is what sent me to the emergency room about nine weeks from AVR. Use your spirometer (a lot). Call your doctor.

I had a tavr replacement a week ago today. Is it normal to have strange heart beats. Like some really heavy sometimes feels like your heart has the hiccups? I feel it is normal because i know my heart has been through alot just still makes me nervous.

I understand the nervousness and hyper sensitivity to everything your heart is doing. I think it is completely normal to have strange hearbeats as everything slowly gets back to normal. Your heart has been through a lot as have you. Hopefully you do have a health professional you can ask....... Read more.
