I am scheduled for aortic valve replacement surgery tomorrow. I just received a call that the hospital starting today is not letting any visitors in at all. I am scared about the Covid 19 and having my chest opened up and possible infection after. I am not sure if I should postpone or not. What is everyone’s opinion?

Susan Lynn Kathryn - Glad you made the decision to get it done. While it can be challenging not to have a family member with you, you're going to spend a lot of time resting and sleeping. The whole process goes faster than you can imagine. Plus, this is a great time to recover - you're not going to miss anything in the next month! Dan Baltazor We were thinking how hard your decision here has to be. Rescheduling seems like the easier thing to do, BUT Susan is right. It will be hard to not have family there, for you and for them. You will get amazing support from your cardiac team. Prayers.
