Here is the last update from the hospital on release day !!! Best Thanksgiving ever !!!

Happy Thanksgiving 🍁 We hope you are surrounded by the love of of family and friends today and some yummy food🦃🥂🍽  Today we are especially grateful as DeWayne will be leaving the hospital today with a new refurbished ❤️‍🩹heart ! It has been a 6 year long journey, there will still be rehab and healing but the worst part is finally in the rear view mirror. We are released to the hotel for the weekend and are out of here first thing Monday morning after the crazy holiday rush. Tonight will be an upgrade from hospital food to room service ❤️🍽🥂❤️ Thanks be to God 🙏❌⭕️❌⭕️d&D

Friday update-❤️‍🩹 for DeWayneHe is doing better today for the most part. His heart rate is where they wanted to be today. The only continuing issue is kidney function, which they say is normal and is caused mostly by all the medication's in his system. Due to this, they are going to keep him in ICU over the weekend unfortunately. I also believe part of that is because they don't have the same staff on Saturday and Sunday to move patients to a step down unit.Thanks for your continued support in this group.

My apologies for the delay in responding with the latest update to those who have asked. Last night I spoke to eberyone too soon. The Doctor sounded as if everything was textbook. When I finally got to see him in ICU he was not doing great, on close watch as he was bleeding heavily from the chest cavity. We were up all night on close watch to determine whether they were going to go back in and open him back up to see what was going on. The bleeding finally subsided early this morning, Thank God ! This enabled them to finally remove the breathing tube from the ventilator late morning. So far, all of his vitals, and his heart are all good and at levels that they would expect them to be. As of right now they only have one concern, his kidney function is not where it should be. They feel confident that they will be able to manage this as well.All in all after a very, very long and scary evening, finally things look like they’re heading in the right direction. They even got him up in a chair today. Kidney functions coming around and talk of possibly moving out of ICU tomorrow🙏🙏🙏Thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers. I am posting this tonight because I have come to learn through my Husband, DeWayne how important and helpful this honest, heartfelt communication can be when faced with embracing this type of surgery for yourself.
Here is what I sent to the long list of friends and family that was on my list to contact.
“ Hi A follow up to DeWayne’s heart surgery today❤️‍🩹He is out of surgery and on the way to ICU for at least tonight. Dr Roselli said it went very well, no issues or complications. Thank you God. And thank you for all your thoughts, prayers and kind words ❤️🙏❤️Continued prayers as the next days are crutial to recovery❤️‍🩹 DebbieXoxo”
Here is the reality, it is 10:30 pm, have spent most of the day and evening in ICU and DeWayne is still purposely asleep due to bleeding inside his chest cavity and fear of clotting. They cannot wake him or remove the breathing tube until the bleading stops! Praying and waiting for some good news 🙏❤️‍🩹🙏❤️‍🩹

Debbie Adamson here. DeWayne just left pre-op and heading into surgery. He is anxious but very optimistic and confident in Dr Roselli and his team ❤️‍🩹🙏❤️‍🩹 Was able to have a quick chat with Dr Roselli before they brought him up, that was helpful for all of us.
