Celebrating first year with my Abbott Epic Max aortic valve. Had an echo done a couple of weeks ago and everything came back nearly perfect. My cardiologist said, "see you next year"! Glad to get that first year behind me. My recovery was smooth and uneventful!

Thank you to my Cleveland Clinic team, especially Dr. Michael Tong. My aortic valve was worse than what the echos's were showing. I had three large tears in the leaflets so no chance of repairing. Great to be on the other side of this.

Had first day of pre-surgery testing yesterday at Cleveland Clinic and Heart Cath showed no significant issues with coronary arteries. That was a big relief. Only problem I had was radial artery wouldn't cooperate so they had to go through the femoral artery to do test. More tests today and... Read more.

That's great news Corey. I remember when my husband got the news about his arteries being clear he kept thanking me for stopping hi from eating bad things 😊
