HEY HEY Ben you look great. Really watch those high Vitamin K leafy greens, they really throw my INR levels around. But I do love to grow & eat them. Consistency in daily diet is the key.

Great pic, Ben. All that love helps the healing. There are ups and downs with the healing, especially with the BP, but it gets better and better in the coming weeks. (Not months).

Welcome home! The family and friend support are so important to recovery and it looks like you are in good shape. I had a similar procedure 5 months ago and with time and rehab I'm living a pretty normal life at this point, though still working on building stamina.

I had surgery on Wednesday to repair the aortic aneurysm and bicuspid valve (replaced with an OnX valve. Surgery went really well but I had some additional bleeding so they had to take me back in address those issues.

Ben, I understand what you are going through. I also had to be taken back into surgery to address bleeding, just 12 hours after the first. No fun. Good LUCK!

I met with my surgeon today and scheduled my surgery for 2/22/23. I had an echo and cath done earlier this month and my arteries are clear so I'm grateful for that. I'll be moving forward with the On-X mechanical valve and fixing the ascending aorta. It's pretty scary, but... Read more.

Congrats Ben! You've done your research, chosen your surgeon and now you are scheduled to go in a few weeks. It's a great feeling once scheduling is done. Hang in there and go easy on yourself while your waiting for the big day. God bless you 🙏
