Send Briana a NoteAbout Me
I was diagnosed with a stenotic bicuspid aortic valve in 3rd or 4th grade. In the last year and a half my cardiologist has said it is now severely stenosed with a dilated ascending aorta. In August 2016 I did not do well on the cardiac stress test and it was decided that some type of valve replacement would be needed in the next 2-3 months. The first surgeon I saw recommended a mechanical valve, but not wanting to be on coumadin permanently I got a second opinion. I have decided to have a Ross procedure and have the ascending aorta repaired at the same time by Dr. Stelzer in New York.
