The stuff that we post on this site would be considered very strange in any other forum !! But here, it's perfectly normal. Gotta love it.
Maybe those hair restoration shops should offer chest transplants for us OHS folks (at least the males!).
It's my HEAD that needs hair restoration. Got sunburned the other day. I don't recall that happening when I was younger.
I'm thinking maybe a wig, some scissors and my glue gun and I have the best looking incision on the planet.........
Wow, William. you sure you had a sternotomy? wish my scar would look as well, even though mine is also hidden behind the chest hair. I also noticed that my chest hair came in longer. Not a problem, but fun to notice (as if I needed it). My wife tells... Read more.
Duane, maybe we can get the group to chip in and get you a DOUBLE restoration!
Duane & Barry get used to be shaved all over. I was shaved the morning of operation and the clippings stayed with me which lead to some itch. Ole, I had two valves repaired via mini so the hair hides it well, but I may do a little manscaping (ever... Read more.
Duane- In a weak moment I wrote a pretty stupid post seeing "where" your humor might run with it. You didn't take the bait. Want to tell you how much your humor is helping people In this community and how lately it is good to see some of you Heart... Read more.
Terry: That wasn't a weak moment at all. When you see an opening you have to take it !! "No injury without insult"
Barry: I'm lobbying to get my nose fixed as an add on. Surgeon said, "I'm a heart surgeon, not a miracle worker". A guy can't catch a break around here
William I like the advice that you gave to Janice. There is a time one needs to get away from all the perseverations and worry. Thanks, that will help me sleep tonight!
Glad to know, I am 6 week post and the hair is just really starting to come back and my chest itches like crazy some days. Hope it looks as good as yours. Now if my beard comes back soon, when I return to work no one will know me,... Read more.

Beautiful day overlooking Central Park at Mt Sinai 7 West

You got the best view on 7 West! Well done! That was my view too, a month ago - Room 108 - but without the snow. Much better than the ICU, right? I'm glad you were able to move finally, and I can tell you that each day brings so... Read more.
I had a nice view as well a little less than a month ago. I was in room 101a. The nurses/staff are spectacular there. My favorite was Angela
Kathleen F, I'm in 108a--no kidding. Was Duane your nurse? Janet, I agree.
Duane was my nurse for one day while Angela was off. He's also great. I don't know if you had Darren yet but he's awesome as well. They're all fabulous!
Stunning picture. It's almost as good as the heart valve team over there. :)
William - This view brings back vivid memories. We should all write our names on the wall there so we can keep track of prior HVJ residents. The first day I looked out the window I felt utterly detached from the activity in the park. As days went by I... Read more.
So very glad to hear of your positive progress
As strange as it sounds I miss the team from 7 West - I spent 5 days in that hospital and have nothing but good things to say. I am bragging about it too much.
I think I had the same room, back in May of 2012. The view was considerably less white, however. I agree with Jim -- it seems like so many of us looked out over Central Park. Can you imagine a reunion of all of Dr. Adams' patients? That would be... Read more.
