This is Snoozer. She came to Chicago with me for my valve replacement. She was a great companion on the other side.
She looks like a great companion. Thumbs up! Or should I say; tails wagging!
Hi Emily No, unfortunately she didn't get to visit me in the hospital. But I stayed with family for a while after the surgery and the Big Snooze was there after I got "sprung" from the hospital. She turned 14 in April so she's an old girl now.
Aww that's lovely she was taken care of and was there for you when you left the Hospital. Wow 14 🎂🎈🎁 Did your Hospital allow pets? I've heard some in USA do, but not here unfortunately.
Emily - Oh yeah - the family was most generous to take her (and me) in. I didn't ask if she could go into the hospital and it didn't even occur to me to ask as I was totally focused on the surgery and recovery. It was nice to have... Read more.
That's awesome Ron you had your buddy with you!
That's great, I hope your recovery is going well. I understand about focusing on your surgery, it's all I could think about after being told of needing surgery. I had mine in January too, what did you have done? It's freezing cold here and snowing at the mountains (just found... Read more.

This is me on October 9, 2015, exactly 9 months after my surgery. The photo was taken at the 12 mile mark of a 13 mile run. Oh man, did I ever feel good! Never thought I'd be able to do this again.
Thanks so much Wanda. I'm deeply thankful for what the valve has done for me. Hope all is well with you.
Great picture and great that you can run. I too am a runner, hope to get back to it
Thanks Alan. Hope you can run again. I didn't start running for almost 4 months, and then only with my doc's permission. Started very slowly and gradually worked it up - at first with very short runs interspersed with my walks. But in truth, I would have been very happy... Read more.
And thanks Petey. I sure appreciate being able to do this in a way I never had been.
