I was diagnosed with mild MR in August, 2012. By August, 2014 the MR was mod/severe. After my cardiologist told me I didn't even need to monitor the MR with a TTE or TEE, I referred myself to Mt. Sinai to meet with Dr. David Adams. Even thought I am relatively asymptomatic, my LA is enlarged, and my EF is low. Dr. Adams recommended surgery within the next 6 months. He said he is 100% sure he can repair my valve. I decided surgery is the right decision, and I can't wait to be on the other side of this journey and get this behind me.
