Hi Ron, just wondering if you went mechanical or tissue? If you don't mind me asking. Still up in the air. I've got 11 hrs to decide. Flip a coin ? Haha.
Hi Ted I went with a tissue valve. With me, I'm a geologist so I need to go out in the field and wanted to avoid the Coumadin. Best to you on whatever you choose.
Your not conserned on reop in 10-15 yrs ?
Oh a little bit. But I've crossed 60 so I'm looking at perhaps one reop. The surgeon said he thought the valve he used might well last 20 years, which should just about do it for me. And I'm really enjoying the valve. I can run again, which is really... Read more.
Thank for the info Ron. Leaning towards tissue. Seem pretty common in my work to have cuts and bangs. Also like you , I really don't want to be held back from my wieght training. I appreciate your time.
The little bit of time is what we're all here for. Also, I added a bit to my earlier post :)
Lol ! I have a few on my ranch. Never thought of that though! Could be calling one sister! Lol! Take care , let us know when you win your first marathon since the new vavle!
I love this: looking at cows and wondering if your related. Hahaha!

Well. All done. And by Gods mercury i've already been wondering around. Yup went bovine. 29mm. Doc said it's the biggest hes installed. Everything goimg extremely going well. I pray eveyomu is feeling this good. Omly though my savoir Jesus ! Congrats to all who are on the healing side... Read more.
That's great Ted. Glad that you are doing so well. Enjoy your "moo valve" and your new life. It is truly a gift.
Ron Broadhead, I remember you from 40 years ago. You had a short stint in the oil industry and I visited you once in Socorro. Why am I on here? I was diagnosed 6 years ago with aortic stenosis and now it's time to fix it. I am 67, low... Read more.
