Celebrating the three-year anniversary of my successful open-heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm and an aortic valve. I am so grateful for advances in medicine, skilled surgeons and nurses, meditation, and the boundless support of family and friends.

Peter, your healing looks amazing! How do you feel? I hope to progress as well as you have at 15 days. I'm wishing you're in good spirits and are comfortably recovering.

Recovery seems ok, although I battled a fever on days 6-12. Been better since. Neck and back pain, in addition to headaches, were also issues. Thanks for the kind words.

Your incision is healing beautifully, Peter. Looks like you started out very bruised up! Glad to hear you're feeling better as time goes on.

Peter , the reason you had neck and back pain is because they cranked your ribs open , the ribs are connected to your spine with cartridge and it is not designed to be moved in the opposite direction . Probably the worst part of my recovery was the pain... Read more.
