August 20 was my 1 year mark since open heart surgery for mitral valve repair. Dr McCarthy at Northwestern Medicine was my surgeon. I had a rough 11 days in the hospital, but have recovered well. Praising God for his healing touch.

One year ago today I had my mitral valve repair surgery by Dr. Patrick McCarthy at Northwestern Medicine. What a day that was!! Arrived at 530 am, wheeled into surgery at 6:50 am. Successful valve repair completed by 11:15. To ICU for 2 days, then t
