update To leaking wound 🧐 so they cleaned out area where small hole had appeared & I’m now on IV antibiotics for 5 days and they have me strapped up to this awesome machine! Which has suction & clears all fluid & encourages tissue to grow & hole to shut 🙏🙏 feel secure & relieved they’ve taken me in, cause last 2 weeks have been horrendous with pain & leaky wound!! 🤞🏻🙏 I’ll go from strength to strength & recovery will continue 🙏

28 days since my surgery & getting stronger every day 👌 wound has healed amazingly well but drain sites taking a bit longer, nurses using a silver dressing which is helping with the healing process!
Out walking every day in our lovely Autumn 🍂 weather..Feeling so much stronger & no breathlessness! So grateful for my 2nd chance in life !

Had my surgery for new aorta valve 🫀mechanical! Everything went went & I got out of icu earlier today & tummy drains now gone & neck drains coming out later. Been up for a shower with the nurses & walked twice up corridor with physios 🙏🤞🏻 doing so well so far x
