About Me

Hi all! I was first diagnosed 3 years ago, at age 54, when my Endocrinologist heard a murmur and referred me to a cardiologist. An echocardiogram at that time revealed moderate-severe aortic regurgitation. Looking back at my medical records, an echocardiogram done 10 years ago showed a mild leak which I was not aware of. This February I was told that the leak is now severe and I began experiencing some mild symptoms in May so my cardiologist referred me to my surgeon. I will be having aortic repair or replacement surgery at New York Presbyterian/ Cornell hospital on October 6, 2023.
