Hello.this is Lori's sister. Just wanted to update Lori's progress because this site has been a wealth of information and support to Lori and her family. Lori's surgery took 5 hours and the surgeon was able to successfully repair her mitral valve and perform the ablation procedure for the A-fib. She went to CCU and the entubation tube was removed 6 hours after surgery. Today she was taken off the morphine and on a different pain medication. She able to sit in the recliner for 3 hours and has started using the spirometer. Aside from a little nausea she is doing well. We thank everyone for your prayers and well wishes.

Rafael Martinez Wow we have the same things all together I'll pray for you wishing the best results on this 2 procedures. In my case they may repair or replace the valve. But I fell you is better take the risk of the surgery than take the risk of stroke. .. God bless the Doctors.

You are such a smart lady and I'm sure you've found a great surgeon to do this repair. In a couple days you will be posting news that will help the next person in queue for surgery.
