Dear Antoinette

Greetings to you 💐 I come across your story and I was amazed to read that it's 30 years since you had 2 valve replacement and still going strong.

I had my mitral valve replacement 4 months ago and repair on my Tricuspid valve. I am also on blood thinners.
I do not smoke nor take alcohol and I feel great. I am back to my normal self again.

Your story is an inspiration for us who has done same surgery and journey. By God's grace we are so blessed 🙏

Antoinette Weale Thank you so much! Yes I am blessed to be on this journey for so long and grateful for medical sciences. They have come a long way since then much more advanced. I am happy to hear you feel good, yes try and look after your valve, exercise, I make sure I walk 10,000 steps a day and eat healthy as best I can. I don’t deprive myself of treats trust me but all in moderation. I wish you long life with your valve. 🙏💛

It's the diet that sometimes I just do not know what to have healthy as with waferin so many food I cannot eat. The diet is my challenge and need help.

Antoinette Weale Marie-Ange Jacques yes we need to be careful with what we eat but to be honest I am not overly cautious. I avoid anything with cranberry and Vitamin K, other than that I eat most foods. I struggle with my INR as I suffer with thrombophilia, so monitor it myself with my INR machine, most times on a weekly basis but other than that I keep on top of it. I wish

Antoinette Weale Richard Munson I don’t do it every day as the weather might not be pleasant in the UK to walk. I however, try my utmost best to do it. My job probably covers half of that in a day. Walking is great. Sorry I haven’t calculated how much in the 30yrs and actually wish I had 😂 not much monitoring gadgets were available then to record. Now my smart watch does the counting. Keep well! 😊
