Even with this exciting news… I must prepare you for the reality specific to the release of any new technology including the Heart Valve Chatbot. The reality is that the Heart Valve Chatbot is not perfect. That’s right. We are right still training the artificial intelligence engine on how to answer thousands of questions about heart valve disease.
So, please do not get frustrated. This is a Beta launch.
That said, we have tested the Heart Valve Chatbot extensively and we believe it is ready for this Beta launch.

Hi everybody! It’s Adam and today I am very excited to share with you the Beta launch of the world’s first artificial intelligence Chatbot for patients with heart valve disease.
As you can see here, the Heart Valve Chatbot was created with the support of over a hundred cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, physician assistants, nurses and many, many, many patients.
The Heart Valve Chatbot was designed to answer over 50,000 questions about your journey to a healthy heart – from the diagnosis, to monitoring and watchful waiting, to evaluating treatment options, to researching and selecting your doctors and hospitals, and the recovery.
Since HeartValveSurgery.com was started back in 2006, our mission has always been to educate and empower patients using innovative technologies.
With that mission, we have created thousands of educational content pages and videos with world renowned heart valve experts. As you may have seen, Chatbots are an extraordinary way to educate people instantly by leveraging artificial intelligence and unique content.
Simply ask your question, and the Chatbot will answer it 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
As we start the beta launch, you can access the free heart valve chatbot on the bottom right section of select pages HeartValveSurgery.com. Simply click the chat icon to interact with the chat bot.
How does it work?
For our first example. Let’s say you were diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse and you wanted to answer a very common question, which is, “Do all patients diagnosed with a mitral valve prolapse need surgery?”
You can see the Chatbot does two things. First, it gives you an answer. Then, the Chatbot provides you a link to learn much more about this topic. In this case, you can watch a six-minute video with Dr. Marc Gerdisch, all about the likelihood of surgery for mitral valve prolapse patients.
In the second example, let’s say you have aortic stenosis and you’re evaluating heart valve replacement devices. You can simply type in something like, “Tell me about the Medtronic TAVR”. In just a few seconds, the Heart Valve Chatbot and the artificial intelligence engine will give you details about Medtronic’s TAVR. Then, it empowers you to learn about this minimally invasive device.
For the third example, let’s pretend you’re a patient who has a severely leaking bicuspid aortic valve. You’re considering the Ross Procedure, which is an advanced form of aortic valve replacement. We’re going to pretend that you live in Seattle. So, let’s go ahead and type in, “Who specializes in the Ross procedure in Seattle?”.
The Heart Valve Chatbot identified Dr. Chris Burke at UW Medicine. You can learn about Dr. Burke by clicking the link, or you can ask for his contact information by typing, “How can I contact him?”
Just like that, Dr. Burke’s contact information is provided for you right there.
Here’s the other really neat thing about the Chatbot. It was designed to help patients not just in 10 or 20, or 30 or 40, but in 85 different languages. So, if you were to ask the multilingual chatbot a question in Spanish, “Que es tricuspid regurgitation?” This is how the chatbot would respond in Spanish.
As you can see, the Heart Valve Chatbot has a lot of possibility for helping patients in the future. That said, the Chatbot is in beta mode.
We’re testing it, we’re training it. This is where you can help us if you have any ideas or feedback to make the Chatbot better, just click end chat and you can share your thoughts. Our team will see your comments and make the appropriate changes.
