Has anyone else noticed peripheral eye haziness even after taking amiodarone? I only took it for four months after surgery. My ophthalmologist said the effects can last for some time…just annoying.

Rose Madura Hi Nancy. Welcome to the site. While I did not have peripheral haziness, I did experience other eye issues. My nearsightedness got extremely worse and my Optometrist said he often sees it in people who were in Amiodarone. I was on a high dose of it for about 2 months, I believe. I hope yours isn't permanent as mine was.

I just found this website. It has been 10 months since my open heart BAV surgery.
I hope others are doing as well as I am. At 72 years, I thought my allergies were getting worse. I went to an allergist and she told me I had a significant heart murmur. She told me to see a Cardiologist. I didn’t have one. One month later, I was seen at Lankenau Heart Institute. My ECG was abnormal & so another journey began.

Susan Lynn Welcome, Nancy! It's nice to meet a fellow Pennsylvanian and Lankenau heart warrior. I had my mitral valve surgery performed there (by Dr. Scott Goldman) almost 8 years ago and had a wonderful experience. Glad you're doing well!!
