P.S. For the deaf and hard-of-hearing members of our community, I have provided a transcript below of this video.
Adam Pick: Hey everybody, it’s Adam, and this is a very quick update about the Patient News Feed in the community section of HeartValveSurgery.com. As you may know, the News feed is one of the most trafficked pages on our website. It’s actively used by patients to connect and learn from other patients.
That said, patients often ask questions about their disease and their treatment options in the News Feed. For that reason, we are going to launch a new way to help educate patients. Starting today in the News Feed, our systems are going to provide you the latest educational content — as you can see right here. The News Feed will also provide you and the members of our website direct links to other educational resources across HeartValveSurgery.com.
And, we took it one step further. If you have signed up for the community and completed the “My Valve Story” section of your profile, the News Feed will post content specific to your disease or your procedure. By the way, if you want to turn off these posts, you can simply click the “X” button and you won’t see it again.
So that’s the new feature. I hope you like it, and I hope it helps strengthen our mission to educate and empower patients just like you. Let me know what you think, and as I always say… Keep on tickin!
