Tina- I'm not familiar with surgeons in Tennessee, but you'll definitely want to do your research for an experienced minimally-invasive mitral valve surgeon in and out of your area. You may need to travel to get to your surgeon of choice. Even though it may not be convenient, you want to go wherever you need to for the best mitral valve expertise. I wholeheartedly (pun intended) recommend my surgeon, but he's near Philadelphia. He's absolutely worth the trip. Best of luck in your search.
