So tomorrow i go in for my pre op tests, with AVR surgery on Tuesday. Today has been such an emotional day so hoping I calm a bit once I go in. This but is hard :( any advice??

Klara Čičić Reading through this page (stories, updates...) and having support from these lovely people helped a lot. Going through surgery videos like mine also (paradoxicaly) eased my mind. Going on YouTube to watch some good old comedy was also helpful! I also wrote down my feeling in a diary, it eased my mind a bit. In the end, what stayed was I think healthy bit of anxiety that felt like jitters :) hang in there! Odds are very much in your favour. You can do this!!

Amy Berger I’m 2nd week post op from Avr surgery and so much calmer now. I agree with Rose about distracting yourself prior to surgery. I downloaded the Duolingo app and started to learn Spanish - drove my family crazy haha but it really helped.
