Diagnosed after many times passing out, migraines, nausea and short of breath even when sitting. Went to ER and was told in 2012 I had heart issues. Went for testing the next day diagnosed with mitral and triscpid regurgiatation. Placed on medicine went to heart dr every 3 mths until... Read more.

Melinda - there are differing opinions, but the trend is sooner rather than later when it comes to surgery. Prolonged strain on the heart can result in complications, so there's little upside to waiting. Discuss with your surgeon and make the decision that's right for you. All the best! ❤
