About Me

It seems I am not in the waiting room much longer. After echo and TEE in October I was surprised to learn that I have moderate-severe mitral regurgitation. My symptoms seemed minor. Another echo scheduled for April. April echo not much changed but started feeling worsening of symptoms. Had to quit weight training and am just tired all the time. Got second opinions found a surgeon I like very much right here in Phoenix that does a high volume of mitral valve r/r so I'm getting fixed soon. The plan is for minimally invasive, fingers crossed for repair but if it's replaced it will be with a tissue valve. Thanks to all of you for valuable insights, stories and advice.
