I am proud to say on 5/27 I will be 8 months post surgery and couldn’t feel better! So glad my angels took care of me😇 in my opinion, my scar is hardly visible but i refuse to hide it as I consider it my badge of courage. For those facing valve replacement, do not fear it. You’ll feel so much better within a couple of weeks post op. Thanks to Adam and this guide book, I was not afraid💕 God bless you all!

I can proudly say that I am now 3 weeks post op and everything went as planned. We saw my surgeon for a post op visit on Thursday and he said I no longer needed to be on oxygen (living in the mile hi city - we are at Altitude and I needed a boost for healing purposes for a couple of weeks) Hallelujah🥳 starting my cardiac rehab in mid Nov. Life is good😇

Cindy Williams great news! I really believe cardiac rehab is the key to getting back to yourself sooner than if you opt out of it. I had a 20-30 min drive and boy did I look forward to it! Getting out of the house own my own with purpose. It was great being around other fellow heart surgery patients all working toward the same goal. I was actually sad my last day, I cried a little. Enjoy your new beginning with your upgraded heart :)

Feeling empowered that I have a surgery date and that it is just around the corner. I have a lot of catching up to do before my surgery date, but I’ll do the best I can and tell myself not to stress about unimportant things. I have a lot of faith in my surgeon that he will put me back together again😊

Lorraine Mobley Some really good advice that I got from someone on this site is to realize that it is much better to use your nervous energy to prepare for your recovery, get your house ready, line up your support group, rather than using energy worrying about what could go wrong.

Joy Vera Having faith in your surgeon is big, Martha. So important! You might consider making a list of all you have to do before your surgery date & then start whittling it down, one thing at a time. At least that helps me - I think it gives me a sense of control which I find calming. Take care.
