Send Joe a NoteAbout Me
Hello, I was born with a heart murmur and at the age of 4 was diagnosed with aarotic stenosis. I had a repair done when I was 13. I have been living life to the fullest since then. I had an episode this last May where I was having severe palpitations. Since then I have been diagnosed with Moderate to Severe aaortic stenosis with symptoms. I am gong through the process of meeting with a surgeon and seeing what my options are. At this point, my cardiologist has explained 2 potential options of either a tissue valve or a mechanical valve. Being a younger patient I am worried about being on blood thinners for the rest of my life but I also do not want to have to go through this again in 10-15 years.
This is when I stumbled on to this group looking for information. I appreciate any insights and thoughts.
Thank you.
