That might be the sweetest thing I ever read on this site!!! What a lovely gesture. You certainly made an impression on this little girl for her to take such initiative to communicate with you. I have a feeling you're pretty special, too, Marshall!

So happy that you have such a great neighbor. I am finding support from so many people including friends and family. Even random strangers like the hotel desk clerk offer their best wishes.

Sierra always says hello to me when I'm in yard or walking in street even before surgery. She's extremely shy ! Tried talking few times though she's very reserve in conversation. I once said it's okay in being shy that I understand.

Yes. Beta blockers slow you down. One is usually prescribed betablockers so that one's heart can get a break after OHS. The heart rate slows down and your whole body can feel down and slow and sluggish. I couldn't wait to get off those pills, but stayed on for a... Read more.

Taking the beta blocker in morning makes walking smooth difficult

What drug and dose are you on? If the drug dose cannot be reduced, sometimes switching to a different beta blocker can help.

12.5 mg which is twice a day.. however, wife and I notice a big difference when the blocker subsides during late day

Drink a full glass of water when you take them. I take metoprolol - 12.5/day...staying very hydrated really helps, they take a while to get used to. I used Gatorade- that really helped too.

Marshall when I was taking them I took them before bed, it helped

If you are out walking several times per day just after being discharged, then you are doing really well. I couldn't do that!
