So sorry to hear that you are having problems with your valve leaking again. I hope you don't have to have surgery yet again. I have also had 2 mitral repairs and certainly would not want to be facing surgery for a third time. Please keep us posted.

Today is the 1 year anniversary of my 2nd Open heart surgery for valve repair, ring annuloplasty implants on my mitral valve and tricuspid valve. 2 weeks ago I had an annual echocardiogram, and today I had a TEE, it shows mild leakage of both valves. I am seeing my... Read more.

I underwent valve repair surgery with implants for both my Mitral valve and tricuspid on December 14, 2016. Hi Judy, what kind of valve did they replace it with? I just had my 2 OHS in 16 months. They repaired the mitral v. Each time.

Also, it is very common for you to be anxious and have depression.

I hear you, Judy. The anxiety you are experiencing is normal. Having to have OHS two times in sequence happens and it is very hard to deal with. Of course you have anxiety as you come to grips with it. It can be hard to feel "safe" again. I had... Read more.
