Hi, I am 84 & am at that precarious point of deciding whether or not to proceed with the surgery. Am in quite good health other than this. Advice from others who were in that same boat & what helped them?

I have had 2 open heart surgeries. The last was done in 2018. I am blessed to have had it. They replaced my valve with a bovine(cow valve).

Eva - it depends what is wrong and will then dictate what minimally invasive interventional procedures are available... To be honest, 84 and healthy is a tough call - it will be up to you which way you want to go - but either way, high volume surgeons and interventionalists... Read more.
