About Me
My first surgery was January 2004. I was diagnosed with a birth defect with only 3 leaflets on my aortic valve. It had caused a 5.5 cm aneurism on the arch of my aortic artery. Cleveland Clinic did my surgery to repair the valve and aneurism and I went until 2018 and then required my 2nd open heart to have a bovie valve installed. It was a 5 week hospital stay but I recovered. I have recently found d that my bovine valve has a collapsed leaflet. I am on eliquis now for 90 days to see if the leaflet will stand back up. They will redo my TEE and go from there. I m wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.
