I am 8 weeks post op from mitral valve repair. I am walking about a mike a day as well as slowly starting back to work. However-- I still have a lot of pain through my pec muscles and under my arm pit. Has anyone else experienced this 2 months later? Thanks!!
I was hoping for this option! Now off to Dr. Hargrove from Penn to get his opinion as to whether I am a good minimally invasive patient. I wish you all the best!!
Also--my husband is a primary care doc, and many of his cardiology associates say he is great!
Need surgery--MItral Valve--UPenn--Minimally invasive?

Hi there! Hoping someone can help....Looking at Dr. Ackers (open heart with sternal cut) and seeking a second from Dr. Hargrove (minimally invasive). Both are at u Penn.
If i can spare the sternal cut without diminishing the outcome that would be great.
Any thoughts out there? Are you on the bypass machine longer with minimally invasive surgery for mitral valve repair?
Thanks! Shooting for beginning of Sept. Keep on ticking all!!!
