I had to decrease me lopressor as my blood pressure and heart rate were to low. Also noticed weight gain. I still am.on ita low dose.12.5mg twice daily. Originally 50 mg. Twice daily. My energy level has improved tremendously. My cardiologist wanted me to stay on it. Would talk to... Read more.

I would speak to the dr, although your HR and B/P isn't alarming, he/she may want you to taper off or be on a slightly lower dose for a bit. I got off all those meds very early on as I had problems with low blood pressure. My resting heart... Read more.

I'd ask if there is another medication that you can try that won't have the side affects. I'm on Nadolol which controls my pvc's and heart rate. I'm on other meds for blood pressure. Maybe it's just finding the right drug for you. At least your numbers are not that... Read more.
