Well it's 12 hours from my check-in time at the Cleveland Clinic where I will undergo my third (lifetime) heart surgery. Today I met many members of my heart care team including Dr. Patrick Vargo who will take the lead in replacing my Aortic Valve and performing a single bypass. He is a young man who is sure of himself and put me at ease with his matter of fact banter. I am happy to have him and all the people I met on my side for this ride. I was fortunate to meet a gentleman, Don, who will be having similar surgery, his first, next week. Don is understandably scared but I was able to reassure him that he is in an amazing place for his journey. I have invited Don to join us on this site so that he too has the amazing support of the "heart warriors". Before I try to get some rest I just want to say thank you. You are all amazing people who take the time to reassure each other and me. I love you all and wish you the very best in life and health. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
