I found out I that I have a bicuspid aortic valve when I was 25 and about 5 years later that I have sever eccentric aortic regurgitation. My heart size was being monitored by way of fairly regular echos and everything was ok in terms of heart size until I got endocarditis in May 2022, which I recovered from via IV penicillin but now it's May 2023 and I found out that my left ventricular internal dimension, diastole has gone from 5.88 in Dec 2022 to 7.16 in May 2023 and that I need valve replacement in the coming months. I'm worried about all of this and glad to have discovered this website and hope it will be helpful for me a I go about my valve replacement and recovery.
