MVP, regurgitation & arrhythmia as long as I can remember, congential defect. Shortness of breath and palps always present. I have been having yearly doppler echos, holter monitors for many decades. Valve has gone from mild / moderate to very severe with increased arrhythmia. Had Tee test & then angiogram. I am having valve repair December 28, 2011 at Northwestern Hospital/Chicago. I am 54. I am choosing to have a sternotomy.
