I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse right after college. A few years ago my GP referred me to a cardiologist. In March I had a 2nd TEE and a cath. Long story short is my MVP has progressed to severe and my cardiologist says it's time. I'm 10 days away and trying to remain calm. It's a plethora of emotions. Update on surgery…I had the robotic valve repair and did really well. Without a doubt I'm happy with my choice of Cleveland Clinic. I was able to discharge on Friday after surgery on Monday. I'm back in South Carolina. I'm grateful and thankful for a smooth repair and recovery.
