That's awesome, congrats!! It will continue to get better. You should start feeling almost normal around 5/6 weeks. Good Luck!

I started walking every day after coming home from the hospital. Every day after I would walk further. This was the longest walk so far, but little by little.

Wow - I too felt great walking after surgery (I did 12 labs around the stepdown unit 6 days after surgery and was walking 15-20 min 3 times daily when I got home) but am not sure I would have been able to do a 5K walk 3 weeks out.... Read more.

Truly impressive/inspirational. I live in SD and have consulted w/CC but after reading your story and talking to some other local docs it appears I should add Dr. Madani to the consult list. He has a great rep. Best with the continued recovery.

The "Cough" Pillow. One of the High Tech devices that the Hospital sent home with me to help recovery. Doesn't look like much, but man when you need it, it comes in handy.
