Paul Wells Carol Navin , I send you my support. Keep working through it. Depression happens to some even when things go well. After my first surgery I experienced a change in my self perception and worth. I felt vulnerable, fragile. Broken, damaged goods. I wouldn't take my shirt off around people. I lost confidence and social contacts. When I became sick again there was again a hit to my psyche. Fear, anger ,questioning. After my second surgery I was still trying to find my self, find my place when my heart health started heading downhill again. I can't predict what my mood will be at anytime. But I will always keep doing as much as I can for as long as I can do it. I walk a lot, in nature is best. Pets help. When I don't want to be around people I dont.
I've learned to walk away from the selfish and non compassionit and those that would waste my time.
I hope you find what helps you best. Keep pushing forward.
