Brian, Dr McCarthy, his staff, and the NW hospital have excellent support for out of towners. They get patients from all over the world. There are many good hotels close to hospital where you and your nearest and dearest can stay pre and post surgery. We used the Hyatt Centric... Read more.

PS -For what its worth we flew back less than two weeks post surgery. One doctor treating my plural effusion suggested that the depressurization during the return flight may have caused / contributed to my complications.
