Neal, although your story is truly heart wrenching, there is still that glimmer of hope and light at the end of the tunnel that you once saw. I’m sorry that life has dealt you this hard hand. Google can literally scare the britches off of you. Always check your source before reading. It might even be best to talk with someone. Not to make this about me at all, but I was quite sick with a little bit of everything before I finally found hope in the TAVR procedure. I was wheel chair bound for almost a year because I didn’t have the strength to walk. I had been given 2-3 years if they couldn’t come up with a solution. Even though your road looks long and rocky, there is hope ….hope for the broken hearted as well. After they get your heart fixed, the outlook is much greater than you would expect. Ever since I’ve read your story, you’ve been on my heart. I’ll keep you there and I will pray diligently for you. BTW….that little grand baby is adorable!! 💞 ~❤️

Hi Neal,
I hope that you are feeling better. Your story is very touching. Wow. You have been through a lot.
I too had severe aortic stenosis and had an aortic valve replacement (bovine valve) this year, June 22. They also found an ascending aortic aneurysm at 4.2 and decided to take care of both during the open heart surgery. I will need to follow up yearly to make sure the aneurysm has not grown from where they repaired it. I am feeling a lot better 3 months post surgery. No one said it would be easy but I am feeling extremely blessed now. Please be well and live life to the fullest!!!!

Hi Neal,
Thanks for sharing your story. I cried my way right through because I am having the same sort of dive into google research world and panic and then some glimmer of hope and then panic again. It definitely comes in waves. How are you coping? What has been going on with your care since June?
Best,
Lindsay
Hey, Neal, how are you doing? Haven't read anything from you in a few months, and remembered you were facing some hard challenges. I hope you're coping.
