you ARE a moving target . Linda said you w ere at John Wayne Airport in CA this AM headed toward Phoenix. Glad everything's going so well for you. Hoping we'll be able to celebrate your birthday in the not too distant future! MM
Hi Nancy, Glad to read of your continued progress and good health. It sounds like you are back, busy and blessed. I added the cover pic of Adam's Face book page to "my photos." I loved seeing you and our posse of HVJ's buddies. All the best. janis Kielbasa
He Nancy, Great pic. Looks like you had a lot of fun. Yeah it is fun meeting people from this site. I cant wait to meet Linda D this summer and hope some others might show up. You take care.
For the long haul
Thanks for alerting me to my email problem.
See you by 9:30 on Sunday.
Can't wait to meet you guys.
I hope your presentations go well tomorrow. I know a few people who will be in your audience.
LOVE it !!!!!! You are the best non cuz a guy could ever have. See you Sun, I can't wait. Hope there is not a problem with so many boisterous Friedman's in one place.
- Do I really need to sign this one......
Nancy--if you should have time on your trip south, we'd love to meet you, or at least talk--Athens might be a bit far from Atlanta if you're on a tight schedule, but anyway, Jim's number is 706-338-1316.
Shoot, I have a gig this weekend up in Greenfield Mass and couldn't have done it anyway. But it looks like you are a jet-setter and schlep all over the country so I bet we'll be able to figure out another visit. Maybe we can all get together in NYC at some point. Have fun and don't gamble away your non-cousin Mitch's inheritance!
Hi Nancy, Once again love it. I will be waiting for the return. Hope NY can handle both of you at the same time. lol. Have fun. Glad everything is going good for you. Glad to hear scar is almost gone as I have gotten a few clothes that are not turtle necks. So right now I am trying to enjoy them while I can.
For the long haul
Hi Nancy, you guys have fun and have a "group hug" for me. Wish I could be there! Good to hear you are doing so well...I am as well! Can barely see my scar, barely 4 inches long! Yay Dr. Gillinov!
I'll put June 8th on our calendar to make sure we have the best chance at making something happen.
As far as what to say when someone asks how you are, I'm taking a hint from my child. When he was 3-4.5, he had a lot of breathing stuff to deal with. It appears he has grown out of it, but when we'd ask "How are you?" His answer was always, "Better."
So when people ask how I am, I simply say, "Better". It feels right and I like the philosophy.
Hi non cuz, just getting caught up a bit. For someone who said farewell to HVJ, you sure are still connected. Great poem to DVB, he surely deserves it. His advice is amazing. But I want a poem!!!!!!
You are doing amazingly well, keep it up. I am still going through the hoops to get my rehab started, so following in your footsteps, I called me trainer and said let's go. I am 8 weeks Thursday and officially have no restrictions, but still will start slowly.
Posted this on my journal just now. - Jeff Shebovsky
Finally! - A Poem for Nancy Friedman.
March 21, 2012
There once was a lady named Nancy,
It was customer service that was her fancy.
She teaches companies how to be nice on the phone.
All over the world she travels, far away from home.
I saw her speak here in Orlando one day,
And she was really, really great, I have to say.
Shortly after that talk, it was her turn to go,
For that AVR procedure we all know.
Was she worried? Not a bit! And the surgery went off without a hitch,
She flew through that surgery with not even one glitch.
She is fiesty that is for sure,
Which makes us love her all the more.
I raise my glass to Nancy, who has been so great
She has supported us all, easing our wait.
Let face it, it’s not everyone who gets to rehab in the Florida keys,
Must be nice to be Nancy, basking under those glorious Palm trees.
Back to your life Nancy, a full one ahead of you,
With that new valve, there is nothing you can’t do.
Nancy, Great news!! So happy all went well and you are moving on with your life. I knew with your positive attitude and energy, you'd rock this! Cheers to you!! Enjoy your beautiful family, friends, home and here, your awesome career and all the joys and blessings of life! Janis Kielbasa
So you are ready to leave the nest huh. Spread your wings and fly, oh I forgot you already did oops. Enjoy being back to normal. I have loved all the poems. Hope more are to come. Hugs
For the long haul
Hi, Nancy -- THe book arrived today. THank you SO much. If anything, it seems to underline the fact that so far, all is as it should be. With you as my role model, how can I lose? I've already skimmed through a lot of it and am going to share it with Stewart, who has the hard part!
As for you, WOW. Cleared for take-off and ready to rock and roll. I hope you won't be a stranger (or a strangler, as my grandma used to say) because you ain't getting' rid of me that easy.
Nancy - Fred and I are thrilled! Mazeltov!!! ONLY 20 lbs...egad. How much do you lift when you're on a roll? Wow! Can you open your own jars? We're impressed.
Welcome back to the world
All our love
Fred and Sue
Nancy - only YOU could rhyme "recovery" with "loverly".....and thanks to both the O'Friedmans for sharing time with me on St. Patrick's Day... it meant a lot to have you a part of the celebration!
mm & EM
Thank you Nancy! I'm laughing "out loud" -- love
Feel so special to have a poem to take with me. It's perfect!
I'll be jumping onto than OR bed with all of this positive energy. Said bye to kiddos this morning and it was actually tear-free!
Thank you for everything! Steph
Love my poem Nancy!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am almost there and I've finally reached to "calm place". I met with Dr. Gillinov today and he is awesome, just as I had hoped he would be. I feel completely confident now. Could not talk him into makeup or hairspray...but I did talk him into taking me first!!! I report at 5:15 in the am. So my friend, I'm not a poet, but I can say thank you for being such a crazy support for me. You rock!
