Hello Leocadia You are totally correct, Mount Sinai is a great Hospital and they have the best doctors in New York city. Dr. Adams is a blessing directly from GOD, I had open heart surgery last July 2017, Dr. Adams repaired 3 of my valves and my aorta, I am feeling great and we, my family and I, feel extremely lucky for having Dr. Adams in our life. GOD bless Dr. Adams. Everything will be wonderful, you will be in excellent hands.

Dear Leocadia, In April of 2016, Dr. Adams repaired my mitral valve. He did a wonderful job and I feel great. I think he is the best heart surgeon on the planet! You are lucky to have found him and everything will go perfectly. Mt. Sinai is the place to be for a heart valve repair.

Mt Sinai was on my top 3 list. I went to Cleveland Clinic due to geography and family concerns but I am confident you will have a great outcome. By all accounts, Dr. Adams is one of the best valve surgeons in the country. Wish you a quick recovery.

My goodness woman! You have been through a lot! I had mitral valve repair on 04/05/2017 and it went very well. It's really not a bad surgery at all, I had full sternotomy and hoped for the minimally invasive surgery, but glad I went the route they recommended at Cleveland. God bless and don't worry - all will be good. It's routine now, and my surgeon's reaction after the operation was "now that was easy!".

Best of luck to you next week. I also had a valvuloplasty I was awake for. It was the most terrifying experience of my life. I was 25. I was told the results were poor and I would need surgery again within a year. I found this devastating. The pressures began to improve shortly after surgery. It has now been 22 years and I have not needed surgery on that valve again. I have been very blessed and fortunate.
