Hi Juergen - welcome to the other side. I too just received a 23 mm aortic valve on July 25th. I, likewise, am doing well - according to the cardiac nurses and doctors. I use minimal pain killers. - a few perosec a day and the rest ibuprofen. I lived... Read more.

Conrad - glad to bear that you are doing well - and good to hear from somebody that is 3 das ahead of me. So far I am amazed how well everything went - I am really very greatful for the first class medical staff here at OHSU.

Yes, if I was still living in Portland, that's where I would have gone. Keep up the great recovery!!!!

Good luck Juergen, praying that all goes well and you have a smooth recovery. I am having the same surgery but a different valve, my date is August 11th. I will be thinking of you and look forward to seeing you post during your recovery.
