When I was told 20 yrs ago that SOMEDAY, perhaps in 20 yrs, I would need my valve replaced, I thought 20 yrs? - that was so far in the future not in my realm of thinking. Little did I realize how fast those years have flown by. This is so frightening --- thank you Adam for hosting such a supporting site and thank all the members who have offered such inspriration and hope. I truly have realized that with the help of everyone on this site that the hardest part is the waiting (at least I hope) and that the future is bright for valve patients. I am going to have an Aortic Valve Replacement using an On-X Valve at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. At the same time my Ascending Aortic Aneurysm at 50mm is going to be replaced. I found out my surgery date on 7/1/16 and the last 4 days have gone so fast!!!! Not looking forward to July 25, but it is unavoidable.
