John, this is Ruth's daughter Christine. You are in my prayers for your big day tomorrow. My mom just had the same thing you will have, aortic valve replacement and aortic root replacement. Surgery was only 3.5 to 4 hours. She is doing good so far. It's been 6 hours. Fear not for the Lord is with you!!

Hi John, I just read your story. Im 47 years old and I underwent mitral valve repair. Today marks a wk since my surgery 9/11. My advised is to always be positive and believe in your doctor and yourself. I know you have more problems than me but nothing that can't be fixed. I was walking day # 2, discharged from the hospital after 4 days and on the street for a short walk around BJ's on day #5. Believe me! you will do well. Have a blessed day.
