Laura - it was general forgetfulness, lethargy, and trouble filling my lungs. I also had excessive sweating day and night. Probably from the bypass machine as well as anesthesia. I also had random numbness in my arms and hands. These lasted about 12 weeks.

Hello Jessica, Welcome to our wonderful heart family. I had a mitral valve replacement on july 29, 2014. I am doing well. Sounds like all is going well for you. Are you going to do cardiac rehab? I highly recommend it. Please write when you get a chance. Mary kidsjunction@gmail.com

Sorry. I am just seeing this. Life has been crazy and busy lately. Things are going well (now 9 months out), but I am still frustrated with my inability to do endurance activities such as swimming or running. My chest still hurts, too. Boo. Otherwise, good! How are you?
