About Me

I've had a heart murmur ever since I can remember. Began seeing a cardiologist as a child. Had endocarditis in 2001. Eventually my moderate regurgitation turned to severe, however, I have always been asymptomatic. A couple of months ago I began experiencing tachycardia and discomfort after exercise. During recent trip to the ER, my doctors decided it was time to repair (hopefully) or replace my mitral valve. Somedays I can't imagine how I got to this point. Other days I'm anxious to have it done and get on with recovery.
