Hi Carmel. The cardiologist that works in the same practice as the surgeon agreed with the opinion of the first surgeon I saw. I guess I lumped the two of their opinions together as one since they are in the same practice. Separating them, I have received three opinions as... Read more.

I am very happy I had my mitral valve repair before symptoms or heart damage occurred. After 3 surgical consults and 2 cardiologists - my robotic mitral valve took place within 6 mos of diagnosis of severe regurgitation. From what I learned there is really no benefit to waiting for... Read more.
