Gina, you are almost there. Soon it will be over and you will be in recovery!! Know that you will be beyond exhausted after surgery and that is normal. Your first time out of bed, the day after surgery, will seem hard because you are depleted of all energy, but every day gets easier and easier. You will have your own nurse by your side 24/7 in the ICU so ask for whatever you want. Dont hesitate. Godspeed.

Wishing you all the best in your upcoming surgery! I am soon 3 months post mitral valve repair from severe regurgitation with an enlarged left atrium. I had minimally invasive repair. It was a difficult recovery. But I am probably 90% back to normal now. It is amazing how they can fix our hearts! God bless!
