I am 62 years old. I had a successful minimally invasive mitral valve repair. Nearly three months have passed since then and I am still experiencing pain in my right chest and armpit. The breast is still numb in some areas and painful in other areas. My right inner thigh is also numb, with pins and needles sensation near my knee. I cannot bend my right leg fully. I have minimal range of motion in my right arm. I teach PE in primary school and am normally very active. My activities are still limitted to walking about 1.5 kilometers. I will try to begin physical therapy next month, but will I ever play tennis again?
